Emotional intelligence and yoga

                 
  “All learning has emotional base”-Plato



EQ is the ability to better attune yourself with your feeling. Many people don’t have EQ because they have a difficulty in expressing what they feel or understand. 


           EQ is essential for success in carriers and in relationships

                                     
 Emotional intelligency have five components.


1-Self awareness: Having a deep understanding of ones own emotion strength, weakness, need and drive that enables them to be honest with themselves and others.

2- Self Regulation: the ability to control or redirect ones impulses and moods having tendency to think before acting.

3- Motivation: A fashion to work for reason that goes beyond money or status. A natural inclination to peruse goal with energy and intelligence.

4-Empathy: Ability to understand the emotional makeup of others people and act accordingly.

5-Social Skill: proficiency in making social network and in managing relationship.

                                                
                  Among the five components, self awareness an self regulation are most important.
                    Self awareness enables people to understand how he his feeling affects people around him and his performance at the given job. It enables the people to understand their goal and values clearly.
                  

                                     How to attain EQ:


1-     To become Emotionally literate you have to know what you are feeling.


2-     Second Step is differentiate your thoughts with your feelings. Your thoughts does not play any role in EQ.You have to prevent your thoughts from dictating what you should you feel or should not feel. Feeling comes from within and are stimulated by person or circumstances and it cant be dictated it just appears.

Its only with heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to eyes”.

                                Yoga and EQ

Existence of 3 nadis Or energy channels in subtle body of human beengs.Nadis are thought to carry energy called  pranas(active)/Apana(passive).
                         
1-Right channel(solar ,Pingla,Yang Energy): Contains the qualities which would commonly be identified with reasoning or intelligency or adoption to external world.
Prana is supposed to circulated inside pingla.Pingla present in right hand side of body and left hand side of brain. Pingla is corresponding to Ganga river.

2-left Channel( Lunar,Yion Energy): contain emotional half of our body and is concerned with internal things. Apana is supposed to circulates inside Ida.Ida is present in left hand side of body and right hand side of brain.Ida is corresponding to yamuna river.

3-Cenatral Channel: has qualities of spiritual evolution. Sushuman or central channel associated with fire and union of Ida and Pingla. When Energy  flow via Sushumna  the stage is called as Kundali Awakening.
              
                                            
                    Therefore in terms of these channels(naddis) and three qualities that go with them(gunas),the word EQ  appears to be a combination or balance left and right channels which is purpose of all techniques of yoga.
        
               

               The deity which governs the central  channel, where this subtle balance of left and right occurs is Mahalakshmi, is the goddess who is  called as giver of intelligence and presides over human brain
